Research Focus
Clinical outcomes research focusing on the treatment of acute atrial fibrillation (AF) in the
emergency department (ED). The scope of my research concentrates on practice variations
among physicians’ with regards to treatment and embolic prevention in the ED .The development
of a predictive guideline for low risk patients with AF that are safe to be discharged from the ED
will be the final product.
In addition, my research also focuses on meta-analysis and systematic review in collaboration with
the Cochrane Heart and Airways group. These interests range from asthma to coronary artery
disease to osteoporosis.
