They partner with each client to help their brand reach its full potential for customer loyalty and sales turnover. My role was as graphic designer working with the design team and also independently on numerous projects. Work range could span from designing a single leaflet to re-branding an entire business. Work was done across screen and print format. There was a lot of client contact both in person and over the phone and email. Due to the nature of the business some projects would span weeks while some are on going due to the repeat business from companies. As such a relationship needed to be established between you and the client. Also there was large amount of contact with printers and suppliers as we out sourced a lot of business. Multiple concurrent projects had to be worked on and completed within tight time frame. While working on these projects I also attended to incoming calls.
2009 July - October 2010 Amcor Flexiblies Dublin Jamestown Road Finglas Dublin 11 Occupation: In-house graphic designer/admin Duties & responsibilities Initially I was hired to assist the newly formed waste committee. I was to help them communicate to all employees the importance of waste awareness through presentations, posters etc… The majority of the presentations were shown on a large screen in the staff canteen and the posters were put up on the notice boards. The head of the waste committee was keen to create a character (or characters) to aid in the “war on waste”. As time went on I worked with almost every department on site from HR to the quality. I developed their intranet site, published the news letter each month, designed new on site signage, and published a logistics handbook, to name but a few jobs. During my second six month contract I was to maintain my duties as in-house designer but also cover maturity leave in the purchasing department. My job there included booking in shipment orders over the phone and by email, stock adjustments, communicating with the factory workers to ensure deliveries arrived according to plan, and other general filing and administrative work. I was trained to use admin programs such as ATMS and SAP.
