Urinary stones
Cause and treatment of calcium oxalate urinary stone formation, with a focus on the role of crystallization processes, crystal-cell interaction, renal interstitial reactions, renal develop- ment and treatment in calcium oxalate stone formation. Pediatric Urology
Renal and bladder pathogenesis in obstruction of the urinary tract. Ongoing projects deal with: functional and structural changes in the bladder and kidney with infravesical obstruction and renal effects of ureteral obstruction. In both projects a major focus is development of new diagnostics and interventions. Malignant transformation of early germ cells in ovotestis. The objectives of this project are to improve the treatment of inter- sex patients and to develop early markers for testicular tumors. Urinary tract infection. The role of bacterial populations in the urinary tract for cause and diagnosis of urinary tract infection. Organizations
