INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES FROM EG910
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY

Dear Candidate,

You must be in possession of the following documents at all your examinations which you should
have received from your school:

They should be placed on your desk for inspection during all examinations
1. Exam Venue and Timetable:
1.1

Location and start time:
All your written examinations will be held at: The British International School, Madinaty

Please make sure that you are fully aware of the examination venue (place) and starting time.

The morning session will start at 11.00 and the afternoon session at 15.00 unless it is mentioned
otherwise in your Cairo Final timetable 2013.

You are expected to be present half an hour before the scheduled start time.

Please note that your Cambridge Individual Statement of Entry (final) and your Cairo Pre IG/
IGCSE/AS/A2 timetable are the documents you should follow regarding examination dates & timing.

Seat numbers
Your seat number changes for every examination. Before each examination you must check your
hall and seat number on the venue noticeboard.
1.3
Candidates with clashes on their timetable, please check daily the noticeboard for further instructions
concerning clashes for each specific examination. All instructions will be clearly displayed on the
Examinations Noticeboard.

2. Science practical, Art, Speaking, IT &Listening examinations:
Please check with your school the separate instructions for practical (Biology, Chemistry, Physics),
Art, Speaking, IT and listening examinations.
3. Exam day instructions:

3.1
Security regulations state that “No candidate will be allowed to leave before the end of the examination session”. Candidates are not allowed to take from the examination room used examination papers. A complete set of question papers will be sent to schools after the end of the examination period. NO MOBILE PHONES are allowed into the examination hall or at laboratories during
practical examinations. Candidates may be disqualified from the examination session if they do not abide by CIE rules. 3.4 The British Council is not responsible for handbags and valuables left unattended. Please make it a point not to bring such things with you. The replacement of a lost Identification Card (ID) will cost LE50. Parents are not allowed on premises at all times during the examinations. You are NOT allowed to come to the examination venue except with your full school uniform (any type of hats or caps is not permitted). Students arriving at the venue out of their school uniform will not be permitted to sit for the examinations under any circumstances.
4. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING WITH YOU:
• Candidate Identification card and Statement of Entry. • Your writing materials, geometrical instruments and simple calculators. The British School, Al Rehab

5. Results:
To receive your Cambridge results through our SMS service and to gain more information about
timetables, syllabuses, university admission etc. please visit our school examinations web page

6. Disclaimer:
The British Council and the examining boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of
service. We feel sure you will understand, however, that we cannot be held responsible for any
interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If examinations or their results are
disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as
possible.
The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later
date.
